How monumentally rude. I pressed the wrong button and shoops! there goes half an hour of writing about my horrible day. My last day at Glenrand MIB today. Oh well. Guess that was not meant to be shared then! But it was horribly sad- I resigned 3 months ago- as I have finally decided to take the plunge and do my own thing. But I left with an ache in my heart. 8 1/2 years is a long time to spend in one place and the people I have left behind have been part of the fabric of my everyday life for so long now.
As I drove home- I thought that the feeling is not dissimilar to breaking up with a lover. The ache, the wistfulness, the nostalgia for the good times and the doubt about whether or not you have done the right thing.
But as we leave things behind- there is always so much to look forward to- to be grateful for- and dreams to dream of realising.
