The Weather

Yay! yay! Yay! The weather for June 12th is forecast to be mostly sunny with 0% chance of rain. I have become a bit obsessed with the weather forecast- I actually love these 7 days forecasts and knowing what is coming. Was dismayed when I went in a few days back and there was a 30% chance of rain for Saturday the 12th. So things are looking up. Why do I care? Because I am having Christopher's coronation birthday party at an outdoors venue on that day. I am going to be pretty screwed very disappointed if it rains on the day.

Shew! I cannot believe what an absolute mission planning his party has been. There is so much to take care of. And then there is some kind of weird mommy peer pressure. Discussed it with mom-in-law and sister-in-law over coffee. Sis-in-law says that I would fit in brilliantly with the Jewish mommies who really go to town. She is Jewish herself but refuses to bend to peer pressure. I just have horrors of people not being sufficiently fed or watered and muttering nasty mutterings behind my back or even in their heads. It should really just be about the kids- but actually it is not.

Yay! Double yay! I am such a monumental nerd. I have just realised that they have put the spell check back on this blog thingie- I missed it and proof reading your own crap is so tedious!

So anyway- back to...where were we- Jewish people. I heard a good one at a litigation seminar/breakfast that I was invited to this morning. I was spouting the latest most fascinating research that I had heard about that apparently closing your eyes enhances your senses and the experience- so eg kissing- good- but horror films- you are actually making it worse for yourself- your body releases more stress hormones when you close your eyes.

But anyway, my old mentor, David, says "garbage!!!" I am slightly taken aback at his vehemence about this. He asks, why do Kugels close their eyes when they are making love? Nope, I'm drawing a blank...Because they can't stand to see their husbands getting any pleasure. Hahaha. Snicker. I thought that was all wives?

But anyway, my husband is being a darling at present. I feel a bit like Bree when she got all turned on watching her hubby do dishes. My thing- is - when a man is taking care of business. James is at home organising painting and repairs etc to all sorts of things and at the same time announces that he has made me a chicken soup. Last night I got a tomato soup with freshly baked bread rolls. I don't know what he's been schnarfing but long may it continue. I am starting to drool just thinking about those bread rolls- warm, and doughy...with proper butter melting into them. Yum.

My son is turning 2. How did that happen? Where has the time gone? I am reading Jou Ma se blerrie blog and it is so good to be able to relate. He is adorable and just getting cuter and cuter. But...shew. I have never had such rolling blackouts in the humour and patience departments as I have had recently. How is it possible for something that is not even talking and half my size to press my buttons the way he does? That is why we invented Wodka...
