Johane's 2 year birthday party

Oh nooo. Everything all set up, all cords found (a miracle), all photo's down-loaded off photo-cards, all cosied up in bed with laptop and about to start blogging and I hear the TV go off which means hubby is about to come to bed. Which means will probably have to blog tomorrow as he will not appreciate me tapping away as he tries to get to sleep.

Will download pictures soon- but we joined Johane for her 2nd birthday party at Farmyard Frendz which was so gorgeous and right around the corner from us. I never would have guessed that we had farmyard plots so close- within a conservation area where you have zebra and assorted buck roaming around.

Anyway- I am still covered in red itchy bites from my lice and beginning to wonder if some survived the Great Dip.

I had to laugh at young Christopher this weekend. Time to get out of the bath and he helps me strain all of his toys out of the bath and put them around the edges. His favourites are two tigers- a pink one and an orange one- with very cute, friendly faces. He refers to them as "Kitties" and says it with such joy and enthusiasm when he sees them that you would swear they were long lost friends. Anyway- he scoops them out and gently sets them together. Then he squats down in the empty bath to face them both and has a 5 minute gentle babble to them both ( I would love to know what he was telling his kitties). The only word I understood of his soft and animated burble stream came right at the end, "Duddus".

My heart wanted to burst with pride when all the other kids howled to get off the horse and Christopher got upset if you tried to get him off. He was loving it and grinning from ear to ear and waving to everyone. I thought he was so brave.
I thought that this was a stunning idea- all the kids got a little tin pail filled with carrots and seed for the animals.

How gorgeous is the venue setting. There were zebras and wild buck on the other side of the dam and you really got the feeling that you were out in the country.

Christopher in hot pursuit of a rabbit- really had me giggling.

A "Bunny!!!" as Christopher would call it.

Right, I think that I shall definitely be skipping gym tomorrow morning. Time for bed!
