Today's treasures: laughing at my son having an absolute ball in the pool and spending time with my best friend on her birthday.
Taz and I have now been friends for almost 12 years. I don't believe in first impressions at all. The first time I met her in Grahamstown in a satelite travel agency on the campus when I was a student with grand ideas of travel. I thought she was a complete bitch. When we became freinds she explained how many students used to waste her time which is why she was frosty that day to say the least.
When I ended up working in GHT and needed to look for a place to stay, I finally found a decent spot where most of the livestock slept outside. I had met the one digsmate and she gave me the address of the travel agency where I could meet the other girl that I would be living with.
I arrive to find Tamzin and thought you have so got to be shitting kidding me.
A long story short- turns out I could not have been more wrong and I have a wonderful, sweet, funny and incredibly special best friend to prove it. Happy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sweetie.
